Established in 1999, Stylish Whisky have been quietly doing their thing for well over two decades now, long before "artisan" became something everyone stuck on the label. They create genuinely unusual, beautifully crafted malt whisky gifts with a distinctive Scottish character: the kind of thing that makes the recipient put it on the mantelpiece rather than the recycling.

Friends, not just fans
We don't just admire Stylish Whisky from a distance. They're friends of ours, and a few years back Drew took his daughter Isla along to see where the magic happens. Rows of their pot still decanters lined the bench: glass pot stills full of whisky, each with a barley-filled neck curling down to a solid oak base, all waiting to go out into the world.
Isla appointed herself quality control officer on the spot. Every decanter on the bench was inspected, pointed at, and judged on the only standard that matters when you're very small: is it shiny enough? We're pleased to report they all passed.
She's about three times that age now, and has sadly yet to be paid for her services. But every time one of their decanters turns up on someone's mantelpiece gleaming, we like to think the standards she set that day are still being kept.
Why we rate them
Seeing it up close only made us rate them more. Making something truly personal out of a bottle of whisky is exactly the spirit we're working in too. It's just that they bring a level of craft and visual artistry to it that's completely their own, and there's a lot of careful handiwork behind every piece that leaves the workshop.
