Glencoe
Glencoe (Scottish Gaelic: Gleann Comhann) is without doubt the most beautiful and iconic valley in all the United Kindom. Bordered to the north, by the narrowest ridge walk in the country (the Aonach Eagach) it is wrapped to the south, by the highest peaks in Argyllshire (the Three Sisters).
This iconic painting of Glencoe belongs to Andy and was painted in acrylic by his friend, James Drysdale. As well as being one of life's gentlemen, Jim was a legend of the whisky industry. Unknown to the public, but renowned by a handful of scotch whisky makers until his passing in 2012. He was one of the finest artists in Scotland, and in his career was responsible for designing some of the most iconic whisky labels and packaging in the Scotch whisky industry.
